New Dawn Engineering is at the forefront of labour-intensive equipment manufacturing. Our research and development focuses on maximizing the effective use of human resources. We adapt technologies to the materials and skills that are locally available and in this way retain the economic viability in countries with widely different materials supply and management systems. We, furthermore, make it easier for semi-skilled workers to compete directly against capital-intensive urban manufacturers, and wherever possible, free them from dependence on imported energy and liquid fuels.
For more than fifteen years now, we have been involved in promoting community revitalization through technologies and techniques that extend their economic base. By maintaining a high level of product quality, we ensure that the entrepreneur has the greatest chance of earning a living.
We are situated in Matsapa, the heart of Swaziland's international industrial site. Our new factory and offices are equipped with modern tools and machinery. We are well known for our comprehensive approach to development, design and manufacture of labour-intensive production equipment.

The design is aimed at the informal food sector. It is a small, inexpensive stove with an oven large enough to bake three loaves of bread at once, or two trays of muffins which will fit inside a 300mm x 400mm space. Many modern rural households have a coal stove of standard construction. When used to burn wood instead of coal, fuel consumption is typically doubled! An open fire with three stones and a pot sitting on them is much more efficient than a coal stove. | | add to cart |

The Shisa Stove is a fuel efficient wood and biomass burning stove made from a standard 25 litre paint can. Shisa means "hot" in SiSwati and several related Nguni languages. This stove is similar to the Basintuthu Stove in that it has preheated primary and secondary air with a single control for both. It is easier to construct and has a better seal for the air at low flow volumes. | | add to cart |

The Vesto is a variable energy, fuel efficient wood burning stove based on a modified 25 litre paint can. It has preheated secondary air of three types as well as preheated primary air. The primary air and most of the secondary air are separately controlled by two horizontally sliding levers that protrude from one side of the body. It can accommodate fuel from twigs up to 110mm diameter, preferably 200mm in length or less. | | add to cart |
